Can you imagine all Dunbar seniors receiving scholarship funds to go to college and successfully completing? How about there being sufficient funding to finance student, faculty and parent development? What about Dunbar becoming all it can be academically and socially?

DAF is a membership organization of alumni who are concerned about the quality of teaching and learning that takes place at our Alma Mater: The one and only Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. Our mission is to create better futures for current Dunbar students and its graduates.

DAF provides over $12, 000 from alumni gifts to finance a principal’s discretionary fund and a variety of student development activities including awards for Honor Roll, athletic citations, and student incentives leading up to DC CAS high stakes testing. Also supported are the Debate Team, Ski Program, Band, and JROTC. These funds also support faculty and parent development activities. Additionally, DAF coordinates alumni requests for building tours, memorabilia, and reunion activities at the school.
